The Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), appointed and congrated the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair as Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor for the period 2024-2029.

Jakarta DPRD Commission A Member, Muhammad Hasan Abdillah hoped that the new governor and its partner could develop the city of Jakarta into an inclusive, livable, equitable, and sustainable global city.

"Residents have hopes for them to be able to advance Jakarta as a global city," he expressed, Friday (1/9).

On the other hand, he did not forget to appreciate all parties for the smooth running of the Jakarta Pilkada.

Welcoming Jakarta's 500th anniversary, he also hoped that the Jakarta Provincial Government could provide three people's basic needs. The three basic needs were cheap basic necessities, employment opportunities, and health services.

"Including finding the best solution to the problems of flooding and traffic jams in Jakarta," he explained.

He assessed the success of Jakarta's development was not only the Jakarta Government's performance, but also the central government, the community, and other stakeholders.

"Hopefully, Jakarta can be a pilot for other cities in Indonesia but also other countries in the world," he closed.
